Giovanni Giroldi is the General Manager of Covea Scrl in Italy.

The company is an official importer of all the three brands in the Hedson group and has been working with the Drester since 1987, and Herkules and IRT since 2009. 

– We work all over Italy and are specialized in import and distribution in body shop equipment, says Giovanni Giroldi. 

He’s been with the company for more than 25 years and over time the bond with Hedson has grown stronger and stronger. 

– We have a very good relationship and I consider them friends. I really value the Hedson team’s competence and their solution-oriented way of working. 

Thanks to a long-standing partnership, it is easier to adapt the business approach in times when the market might become a bit more challenging.  

– If economic uncertainty affects the industry we still have a strong relationship with the Italian car manufacturers and also see great potential in multi-service workshops. 

These workshops are an important target group due to the high number of leased and company cars, which are repaired on a regular basis regardless of the type of damage, Giovanni explains. 

– Hedson’s products, such as the IRT, Herkules lifts, and Drester gun cleaners, are a perfect fit for multi-service workshops. 

The cost of new machines and equipment can be a barrier for some customers and Giovanni Giroldi puts a strong focus on on demonstrating how Hedson’s products provide practical, long-term solutions to many of the industry’s challenges. 

– The end customer often looks at the price. My job is to explain the difference between Hedsons products and other brands. With Hedson we are talking top of the line. Quality is what matters the most, and you have to see it as an investment. 

 To reach customers, Giovanni and his team combine personal meetings and car shows with visiting existing installations together with potential clients. 

– This gives better insights into how the equipment actually functions. The customers are always happy and satisfied, and they appreciate the quality and the low maintenance.
